I began my career as a securities lawyer, training and qualifying with leading global law firm Allen & Overy, working in its offices in London, Hong Kong, and Tokyo.

Seeking a new challenge, I left legal practice to establish Legal Futures, a legal and compliance recruitment agency with offices in Japan, Hong Kong, and Singapore. As Chief Executive and Legal Director, I guided the business through a period of strong growth until its successful multi-tranche sale to global recruitment firm Manpower between 2013 and 2016.

Now, I’ve returned to the UK and to legal practice. As a partner at Mezzle, I focus on corporate and commercial work and I also serve as outsourced Legal Counsel for several companies.

I collaborate with numerous small to medium-sized companies, providing guidance as needed and acting as a sounding board on business and corporate/commercial law matters. I have a particular affinity for working with start-up / early-stage companies and entrepreneurs, leveraging my experience to help them avoid common mistakes.

For Enterprise Management Incentive (EMI) share schemes, I work with an excellent tax advisory firm called Allego Tax who you can appoint to assist with the initial HMRC valuation stage that is required before EMI share options can be granted. I would be happy to make an introduction if required.
